Yazeed Kon Tha | Reality of Yazeed

All Praise be to Allah who is the Lord of the Worlds, and may Endless Blessings be showered upon His Most Beloved, and Final Messenger of Islam, Hadrat Muhammad MustafaSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa 'aalihi wa Sallam
In this day and age, you have people from all walks of life. You have the hereditary Muslims, who are born into Islam, and follow the religion of their Muslim parents, which is an established set of beliefs and practices. Some are influenced by their friends, who inspire them to join the religion, and some are from different sects altogether. This is one reason why the beliefs of a lot of Muslims differ. Normally through lack of education, and study, people sometimes regard other innocent Muslims as being 'mushrik' or 'kafir'. It must be also borne in mind, that calling someone a 'mushrik', is much worster than calling them a 'kafir'.This is also why people have different opinions about whether Yazid was a 'kafir' or not. Despite the hadith of the Messenger of AllahSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, that even if a person has an atoms worth of belief in him, or he who has not associated any associate with AllahSubhanahu wa Ta'ala, then he will go to paradise, such ahadith have been taken into account by the scholars, before they have declared people like Yazid to be a 'kafir'.Yazid had committed some really degrading acts. Under his commandment, people had been murdered, including the martyrdom of Syedina Imam HusaynRadi Allahu anhu. Although he himself was not the person who bore this act, nevertheless, it is one reason why the scholars have said that there is a door to salvation for him.Other atrocities committed by him were allowing innocent Muslims to be martyred, including people from the House (ahl-al-Bayt), the taking of hostage of the ahl-al-Bayt, dishonouring the ennobled head of the grandson of the Beloved Messenger of AllahSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, attacking the Ka'ba, using the Prophets Mosque, or part of the Prophets Mosque as a stable to tie horses, the raping of the women of Madinah, the killing of innocent people....Thus the atrocities went on and on. Suprisingly enough however, all these acts did not render him as a 'kafir', since he did not deny the existence of Allah the Almighty, nor did He misbelieve in the Beloved Messenger of AllahSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, as He was enstated in the position he was in, as 'amirl mu'minin, through the grace of the belief in the ProphetSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam. He had however committed grave acts of sin, which we have mentioned above, which mount to dishonouring, degrading, disrespecting, and demeaning, not only the People of the House (ahl-al-Bayt), but also the wishes of the Beloved Messenger of AllahSalla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.Such demeanour, did not amount in him acting in 'kufr', but he was a 'fasiq'. He never was committed to praying the 5 times salah, nor did he prevent drinking alcohol, and mixing with free minded women. All these acts had by now been recorded into books, and after analysing such acts, it was regarded by the majority of the scholars, that Yazid was misguided (daal), a hypocrite (fasiq), who committed sin in open, and cursed (la'in). Some people however have gone to the limit of calling him a 'kafir', and this is usually amongst the view of the shi'ites, not necessarily a decision which is based from the scholars of the ahl-as-Sunnah.Thus different believers had different views about him, but it is virtually worthless in arguing with somebody regarding the 'iman' or 'kufr', as our views will not change his belief or misbelief, nor will it change the opinion of the scholars, or how he will be made to pay, on the Days of Resurrection, and Judgment.May Allah the Almighty keep us in his safegard, and protection from such calamities, and may He make 'Yazid' a lesson for us, in preventing us from being like him, and in preventing in making decisions regarding his belief.
